Dined here last month - had an absolutely amazing experience! The steak and food were delicious, one of the best we’ve had as evidenced by the quality of the meat! Location is lovely too, by the water. Parking is accessible as there are two carparks near The District centre. Special shout-out to the staff and manager who gave exemplary service. You can tell that they’re passionate about their business! Will be returning here again. Highly recommend!

We visited this restaurant over the weekend with a family group of 12. Although it was quite cold outside, we chose to sit outdoors as they had electric heaters, which made it comfortable. We had two children with us, and the staff provided clean high chairs, which was appreciated. We ordered mac and cheese for the kids—it arrived quickly and tasted great, though the portion was quite small. The rest of the meals were advised to take around 40–45 minutes. I had a very disappointing experience here. I ordered the salmon tartare as a starter, dry-aged beef for my main, and mashed potatoes and mushrooms as sides. The first issue was that the steak arrived overcooked. I had ordered it medium rare, but it was served medium. To their credit, they replaced it without any fuss. Unfortunately, the problems didn’t stop there. Only the mashed potatoes arrived, while both the salmon tartare and mushroom side were forgotten. We had a really good experience at Butchers Diner. The atmosphere is really nice, both outside and inside. Since we had already been to a few other places beforehand, we decided to order a dish to share, and everything we tried was very good. Just one small note: the sauce described as chimichurri tasted more like a salsa verde, but it was still delicious. The dessert was simple, but good, and all of our orders arrived quite quickly.
