Berta is a charming organic cafe tucked away on Liverpool Street. Walking distance from the main parts of Hobart. But blink and you will miss ,it for the entrance is not marked well on google maps. There isn't a lot of space inside so we sat on a table in the street to take in the views and people watch. We enjoyed the absolutely fresh produce sourced from local farmers in Tassie and the friendly service. I recommend you go straight for the quirky fusion Korean and Mediterranean spiced dishes. Happened across this place for breakfast, very unassuming entrance, nearly missed it. Had a gastronomical breakfast experience!! Had the corn and zucchini fritters, poached eggs, smashed avo, eggplant kasundi, charred corn and salsa. Great coffee.

This is my new favourite spot for breakfast and lunch when visiting Hobart! Staff members are friendly and accommodating at all times. Food is amazing, we came during the weekend and had two of the specials: steak and waffles and also tried the fish toast. Everything was well-served, cooked and seasoned to perfection and absolutely delicious! We came again during the week to enjoy some of the lunch options as well: chicken burger, fries, salad sandwich and gnocchi and they didn’t disappoint!
