Bornga is an excellent choice for KBBQ in Melbourne and round the world as I have seen branches in Sydney and overseas. Been a few times, once on my birthday 3 years ago and most recently; again a few days ago. We skipped the set menus as I had a good idea of what i'd like to order prior to my visit which was a 해물파전 (Seafood pancake), 순두부찌개 (Spicy seafood stew), 1 serve of 등심 (Scotch fillet), 삼겹살 (Pork belly) and most importantly; 2 serves of their signature 우삼겹 (Woo Samgyeop - thinly sliced beef brisket dressed in a special sauce), although I do miss the Yeosan Tteokgalbi which I tried on my

Always seen this place packed when I walk past, so I finally gave it a try. I already have my go to spots for KBBQ, but Bornga did not disappoint and honestly held its own. I skipped the sets since they did not look very appealing and I already had a good idea of which meats are usually the best. Ordered the short or finger rib and this was easily my favourite of the night. Great flavour, tender, and worth coming back for. The WOO Samgyeop which is advertised as their signature meat was thinly sliced and marinated. Pretty solid for one of the non premium and less expensive options. The scotch

Good venue to catch up with family and friends. Self serve side dishes and lettuce leaves. Side dishes choices are limited. You are expected to spend around $50 per person with soft drinks. If you are a big eater better off to go to a buffet restaurant. Note the weekend surcharge from this restaurant. Personally I am not a fan of weekend surcharge. I will support restaurant not imposing weekend surcharges. Overall I recommend this restaurant and I will come back with my families.

AILEE★★★★★

Bornga Korean Restaurant in Melbourne Chinatown is one of our favourite places for group dinners — we’ve been here so many times! Their cold noodles are a must-try, especially in Melbourne’s hot weather. The bowl is full of crushed ice and super refreshing, with great flavour. Perfect for summer! BBQ meats are juicy and smoky, side dishes are generous, and the tteokbokki is delicious. The service is also amazing — very friendly staff and they even offered free takeaway containers for our leftovers, packed securely so nothing leaked. Highly recommend!
