After a really stressful day of travel, we really wanted to try something local and nice. We turned up without a reservation and with a baby. The lady and gentleman were very accommodating, kind and understanding. The food was excellent, service fast and easy. They even accommodated my awful German (their English was excellent so no need but it’s nice to try). I think they appreciated us asking about coming in with a baby first so we did our best to make sure our daughter didn’t cry as the restaurant was very nice. I can't imagine having a more authentic Austrian dining experience than we had at Königshofer! I personally had the viener schnitzel, and the others in my group had the mushroom ravioli and pasta with chicken. Everyone was equally impressed! The proprietor went above and beyond during our entire visit!

We went to a nearby Austrian restaurant close to our hotel, simply choosing the closest one — and it turned out to be a great decision. The dinner was delicious and the atmosphere felt warm and homely. The schnitzel with potato salad wasn’t too greasy, which can sometimes be the case, and the goulash was especially tasty, served with perfectly cooked dumplings. A lovely local experience!
