If you’re looking for traditional dishes in Bruges, this restaurant brings comfort and warmth to the table. Frog legs and escargot were great starters to our meal. Reviews will tell you “the stew is too hot” but the beef stew needs to be hot enough for the meat to pull apart delicately — it makes all the difference! The beef stew is delicious! It comes with a small side of salad and a lot of fries (don’t be fooled by reviews saying it’s not enough). The vol-au-vent dish was also filling and delicious. Amazing. The waitress was super welcoming and attentive. The beef stew was full of flavor and the beef was tender. Managed to order and eat our food in about 40 minutes so was very fast service. Food also came with side salad which most other places don’t offer with the beef stew. Fries were also fluffy and crispy. 🤩

Excellent food but I’m afraid the service fell way short! When I first entered I waited for a waiter to show me to a table, but none did. I sat at a table, only for a waitress to coming rushing over to tell me quite abruptly that I couldn’t sit there. Twice I was offered food/drink that I hadn’t ordered. Pity because the food really was excellent!!

We came by chance to this restaurant. It is in a old building with seating indoors and out the back in a small courtyard. Prices are typically in the €25-30 range for a main meal. The Maitre'd was a character. Worth a visit. My steak was done as requested with a nice salad and chips cooked well.
