I really wanted to like this place, but I guess it’s one of the problems running a restaurant. We ordered two soups of the day and sandwiches, after 20 minutes they came round to the table and checked our ‘beeper’ to see what we had ordered. Then after some more time past we went to the counter and said it’s been 40 minutes they checked the order and argued that it was only 35 rather than apologizing. When the food came it was good and inexpensive. The place looks great inside and has heaters dotted around the large space. I saw people arrive and get food right away.

This is such a great place for a meal! We had a lot of good tasting food for 2 at just 18€ overall. The owner was kind enough to also pack this up for us because we clearly couldn’t finish it toward the end. Highly recommend!

Flamingo is an amazing place. I like the atmosphere, so original and retro. Staff is very friendly. Burger was good and prices not high. Definitely a place to go

Tzatziki very very good, hummus very good, and the bread was extraordinarily good! Service by some Dutch girl was OK, she had warmed the bread for me. I didn't try the fries, because they look awfully orange and a bit dirty, but that's because they don't peel the potatoes before frying them. The 3 Italian people next to me liked them very much. The atmosphere was not like in a fish market hall at all, as the other guy said. But that was because there were not many people.
