My last day in Belgium and wanted to make the most of the local food. Got De Margriet as a suggestion and it wasn't bad at all. The local beers, mostly the Gouden Carolus and Maneblusser, were very good and highly recommended if you want a true taste of the local brew. For the food, started with the croquettes, they were good, crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. Not the absolute best I've ever had, but decent. The fish and chips was good but nothing special, which is completely understandable since it’s not really their specialty. But the dessert... my god, this one was superb!! I

Polite service. Very comfortable and clean space to dine in. Good vibes. The mussels were really yummy 8/10. Spaghetti portion is big. Delicious. Sauce could be thicker.

Had an amazing dinner with 9 friends at De Margriet on a Saturday evening. Very warm welcome by the staff, that served us with a smile throughout the evening. Appreciated the friendly and professional service. Drinks and food were served in time, barely had to wait for anything. Highly recommend the Witloof Orval. That was amazing! Def coming back. Highly recommmend this place!

We visited this place today for a meal. They brought us the menu, but it was in Dutch—no English at all. We ordered two dishes from the menu; one was good, the other was possibly the worst thing I’ve ever eaten in my life. The menu mentioned pork cheeks, but they brought me three slices that looked like cured meat you’d put in a sandwich, with asparagus (if it even was asparagus) and potatoes (thankfully). It was very expensive and definitely not what it should have been. The staff were polite, but they don’t know the menu well. Overall experience: very expensive for what it supposedly offers.
