Decided to try Rudy’s after having tried Shake Shack so I could compare the two smash burgers. I’ve only heard good things about Rudy and that it’s better Shake Shack, so I was quite excited to see that they’ve opened up a new location in Aurora. I ordered: • Rude Dude $12.99 Double cheeseburger, lettuce, tomato, Rudy sauce • Regular Poutine $7.99 each Skinny Fries & Thick Fries • Banana Pudding $5.49 • Fountain Drink $2.49 This might be an unpopular opinion, but I felt like I liked Shake Shack more. Highly recommend: The Baby Rudy – it really reminds me of In-N-Out. I especially liked the thin, crispy patty; it had a great texture. Wasn’t my taste: The fries. They were way too salty for me, to the point where I needed a lot of water afterward. Overall: It’s a solid spot for a burger if you enjoy that classic, thin-patty style, though the fries were a bit of a miss for me due to the seasoning.

It was a busy restaurant, which shows it’s popular. I ordered the Rudy Dude burger, but the edges of the meat were burnt, which I didn’t like. It was strange that there was no Wi-Fi. I asked the staff four times for the password, and in the end they told me very reluctantly and so quickly that I couldn’t even understand it. I’m not sure what their attitude was. The washrooms didn’t have paper towels to dry hands, which I would expect like in other restaurants. Overall, it wasn’t a very enjoyable experience, and I probably wouldn’t go back.

Great experience at Rudy! The smash burger was very tasty and fresh, and the chicken sandwich was also really good. The restaurant was clean and had a nice atmosphere.The staff were friendly and welcoming. Ru was very polite and helpful while taking the order, which made the experience even better.Overall great food and service. Will definitely visit again!
