Very cute place with gorgeous desserts. Mousse cakes: on a shortbread cookie and sponge cake with light mousse and fruit filling covered in a white chocolate, mango and strawberry had glaze on them as well. Peach passion fruit had more of a passion fruit taste than peach, but all tasted good and fresh. Overall very good flavouring, and presentation is a 10. They were on the pricier side, a little over $10 per cake, but as someone who has been wanting to try these for a while I am very happy with these cakes. I recently visited Willow Cake & Bake and was honestly impressed. This is not your typical bakery, they specialize in refined, European-style mousse and fruit entremets that are actually hard to find in Calgary. The desserts look like art pieces, but more importantly they taste just as good as they look. The textures are delicate, not overly sweet, and you can tell real technique and high-quality ingredients are used. Ordered the lemon and peach mousse. The lemon one was sour but tasty. The peach mousse crust was tastier than the lemon one. Overall the quality of desserts is great! 😋 I would recommend and would come back to try the mango and tiramisu mousse cakes! Ordered the Yuzu tea which had a tangy taste but was bit sweet for my liking.
