Kana Harada★★★★★I’ve tried the iced matcha latte, matcha cheesecake, matcha roll cake, and vanilla cheesecake over several visits. They were all excellent and truly satisfying. The iced matcha latte is as authentic as the ones you’d find in Japan. In Canada, matcha lattes are often tasteless or watery, but this place is different—they prepare the matcha properly by whisking the tea. The matcha cheesecake and roll cake are delicious, with a delicate flavor that isn’t overly sweet, unlike the heavier cheesecakes you often find at other cafés. The balance between the matcha’s bitterness and sweetness is perfec
Ann Lauren Sangil★★★★★Stopped by Nizu cafe in downtown and we really liked the cozy, calm vibe of the place. Their coffee isn’t too strong, which I actually enjoyed. The hot latte and miso caramel latte were both really good, and the yuzu soda was super refreshing. When we came in later in the afternoon, they didn’t have any food left aside from desserts, but honestly that worked out because we got to try their vanilla cheesecake. It ended up being one of the best I’ve had, definitely worth ordering if you visit. Overall, a really nice spot to relax and enjoy a drink. I’d happily come back.
Brandon Lin★★★★★Nīzu Cafe in downtown Vancouver is quickly becoming one of my favorite spots, and after my recent visit, I can see why it’s generating so much buzz! The vibe is spot-on: minimalist Japanese-inspired decor with warm lighting, clean lines, and a peaceful atmosphere that feels like a cozy escape from the busy streets outside. It’s bright, spacious enough despite the popularity, and perfect for a relaxed lunch or afternoon pick-me-up. I went for the tonkatsu sando (pork katsu sandwich), and it did not disappoint. The bread was soft and pillowy, the pork cutlet perfectly crispy on the outside and j
Savcidd★★★★★This café’s matcha and katsu sandwich are both incredibly authentic, making me feel as if I were back in Japan. It’s quite rare to find a restaurant of this quality in Vancouver. Although there was a long line when I arrived, the service was very efficient and the food came out surprisingly quickly. The taste, quality, and presentation of the dishes all met my expectations. The matcha was rich and flavorful, while the katsu sandwich was perfectly crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. Overall, I had a wonderful dining experience. Both the food quality and service efficiency deserve
