We had a pleasant dining experience at Symposium Cafe in Guelph, thanks to our friendly and active server, Zhyla. The ambiance of the restaurant was quite good, and we are already planning to sit on the bar side during our next visit! There was a slight mix-up with the timing of our meal; our appetizer was initially forgotten, and after a quick reminder, it arrived after our main courses. Stopped by for dinner tonight with my wife and what a fantastic meal! We started off by splitting their infamous and deliciously cheesy spinach dip. Perfect balance of creamy and savoury. For our meals we got an order of fish and chips for the Friday special (what a deal!) which was battered to golden perfection and served on a bed of hot, seasoned fries. I think that people tend to forget, especially nowadays that customer service is 50% of your meal. I wanted to say that I experienced exceptional customer service here today. The waiter was attentive, prompt, and super kind. The kitchen had my meal out in minutes. On top of that, the Cuban breakfast sandwich was delicious, and fresh. The home fries are the best I’ve had in a restaurant. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a well priced, quick, and delicious lunch.
