We have been coming to Salt lick for many years now. It has always been a staple, go to and reliable for us. The vibe has always been wonderful. Always a down home, welcoming feel. This visit was a total let down. The noise was so loud it was hard to have a conversation sitting across from one another. The service was not great, very slow, and the “manager” was very full of himself, in a very annoying “look at me” type of way. The food has drastically gone down hill. Saltlick is hands down awesome BBQ! The service was friendly, attentive, and made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. Their local beer selection was excellent - we really enjoyed Aquanova’s Yuzu lager 🍺 The brisket was tender, smoky, and packed with flavour. The pork belly nuggets were an absolute standout — crispy on the outside and melt-in-your-mouth delicious. We’ll definitely be back for more!

A few things to consider before coming in: **The menu is okay — not a wow, just okay overall. ***The “feast” is not really a feast. I knew as soon as we walked in the door this was going to hit. If you're a meat eater, this is it. Food was spectacular... only way to do it is the feast for 2. Dont think about it, just do it. The portion was massive. The Mac and cheese and beans.. like.. come on.. 🔥 Thank you kind sir for putting us into a meat coma with a side of the sweats. Definitely will be back.
