Food was way too salty. I couldn't quench my thirst for the whole day after this soup. I came in for the 8$ special bowl they had in april only to learn that it was only broth and noodles, left hypertension. For something that's broth forward I really dont recommend. Then service, our first server didn't understand a word of what we said in french or english. He called for backup and we ended up only with an english speaking server. There are a lot of Vietnamese restaurants and the portions & quality vary from one to another. I was impressed with this I AM PHO location. It was also packed with Vietnamese people so that's a great sign! I had the grilled beef bowl with imperial roll served with salad and vermicelli. All the ingredients were very fresh. The beef was exceptionally thick and super tasty compared to other places I've tried. Also the spring rolls are generous in size and not the pinky sized frozen ones we sometimes get at other restos. Seriously good Bun Bo Hue. The broth is super fragrant with a nice lemongrass kick—not just bland or overly salty like some other spots. Portions are generous and the service is quick and friendly. Definitely my new favorite for a cozy, authentic meal, especially friendly staff.
