“The staff was fantastic, ambience was lovely, and the cake was delicious!”

Upon entering the establishment and greeting the staff with a simple "hi," I was met with the comment, "Je n’aime pas les anglos qui ne font pas d’effort" ("I don’t like Anglos who don't make an effort"). Given that this business is located in a high-traffic tourist zone, establishing a welcoming atmosphere should take priority over language preferences. A business is not an appropriate venue for language debates.

The bakery/shop is SUPER SMALL - almost feels like you are sitting in the lap of the person next to you. The bento cake decorating was really not worth the $30 we spent in there. The icing options & decorations were limited (& frankly very tacky) and they don’t provide any icing tips with the piping bags. I wish I had read other reviews before I booked a spot.

I tried 2 of their activities: the bento cake decoration and Canvas cake decoration and both experiences were delightful. The people working there are always helpful and check in on you to make sure you are having a nice time. They have a nice array of hot and cold drinks (special mention to the tiramisu latte!) We were able to try a few of their pastries, I highly recommend the lemon trompe-l'oeil, it was delicious! Their pastry chef knows what she's doing!

★★★☆☆ The storefront and décor are beautiful and very Instagram-worthy, which is what initially attracted me to the experience. However, the cake decorating session felt more like a self-guided activity than a workshop. We were given cakes and icing but received no instruction or demonstration, and the icing was difficult to work with and didn’t hold detail well.
