Not many options in the area for a nice sit down sushi spot. It gets very busy as a result during lunch and dinner. Restaurant has a repurposed historic house feel and there's a free parking lot right across the street. Food was good here with affordable prices, and the menu is diverse with lots of options. Sushi quality was good, tempura was alright (just very over battered), mochi was mid would skip.

Sushi-Ya is truly a hidden gem, and I mean that quite literally since it's tucked away and easy to miss if you don't know it's there. The food was incredibly fresh, the service was warm and attentive, and the prices were very reasonable for the quality. We opted for the customizable bento box option, which allows you to mix and match your selections. Being able to upgrade to add salmon sashimi, if you’re so inclined. A great place to have Sushi in town! We ordered Spider, Milton Dragon and Dynamite and it was just amazing, the food is fresh and the service was great. A special thank you to Alyssa, the lovely waitress that helped us. She was so welcoming and very passionate about the food, she made our experience very pleasant.

Absolutely outstanding sushi! I ordered the Volcano Roll and Diablo Roll, and both were bursting with flavour and incredibly fresh. Every bite was perfectly balanced, from the textures to the sauces, and you could really taste the quality of the ingredients. The rolls were made with so much care and tasted just as good (if not better!) than dine-in sushi. This is hands down the best sushi takeout I’ve had in a while and will definitely be ordering again and recommending to everyone!
