We had a wonderful dinner at Aux Antipodes. The restaurant offers a creative fusion of Brazilian and Asian flavors that is truly unique in Marseille. Food: We started with the Coxinhas (Brazilian Donuts) and Spring Rolls. Both were very tasty, though the chicken donuts were very filling—two would have been enough for a starter. A "best of both" platter with two of each would be a great addition to the menu! The Sushi Burger was a highlight: a clever "bun" made of rice, nori, and panko. It’s pretty rare that I’m impressed by food AND service in France…guess people being paid a living wage dont need to be as friendly and efficient as those working for tips 😅 but this restaurant was such a great experience from start to finish! The owner/chef found us a table despite us not reserving and he was so passionate about each item on the menu! Everything we tried was delicious and genuinely so interesting and flavorful! Although his restaurant wasn’t receiving more guests an the kitchen had closed he accepted me because I ordered a Brazilian dish, a Muqueca, that basically had just to be served because the main part had to be prepared in advance. His menu is apparently a reflection of his life path with delicious food from Brazil, Asia and of course France! He really enjoys what he is doing, it reflects on the taste and I felt welcome and well treated. Nice and cozy small restaurant that I strongly recommend :)

We stumbled in here and were able to find a table for two. Then the chef came out and helped us choose what to order based on his recommendations which was very helpful. When the food came out it was all exceptional and very delicious. The sushi burger stood out to me because of the flavours, the quality of the sashimi and the innovation of the dish! The picamha was cooked to our liking and cooked to perfection, all the el
