I honestly rarely give 5 stars but this place 100% deserves it. The atmosphere, the decor of the restaurant was magnificent, the vibes were so good. Then came the food. We visited Le Procope during our trip to Paris and honestly weren’t sure what to expect. Given its history and popularity, I was a little concerned that it might be more of a tourist attraction than a great restaurant. I’m happy to say I was completely wrong. We ordered the braised beef cheek and the Coq au Vin, and both were excellent. The beef cheek was incredibly tender, the Coq au Vin was rich and flavorful, and the portions were much larger than we expected. Visited for lunch. Luckily we were seated quickly with little waiting time as we did not make reservation. The food was average as our expectations were high. The Escargot was really good and tasty. The Ravili Langostine was average. The Sole Mauniers was good but below expectations. Service was not the best and order of serving the food was a miss by some junior waitress.
