Extremely upsetting experience. I bought a croissant and baguette to take away and briefly sat down at an empty outdoor table to eat the croissant before continuing my errands. The terrace was completely empty. A staff member came outside and aggressively told me I could not sit there with takeaway. Before I could properly respond, another employee came out yelling as well. The situation became unnecessarily hostile very quickly. Just opposite Sorbonne University, it’s a decent sized store with several places to sit inside and outside. Their sandwiches were great, a good choice to bring to the Luxembourg Gardens which are not too far away. The royal was good, but had sooo much cocoa powder on top it was a little overwhelming.
