Dive deep into koln culinary scene, in the heart of downtown across from cathedral. The place has quite bit of German charm to it. The service was good but, the food was ok took +30 min to arrive in contrary to neighboring tables.

Came back a second time and it didn’t disappoint! The flat white is excellent—smooth, high-quality coffee. ​I highly recommend the Yogurt Fruit Bowl. While it’s on the pricier side, you can really taste the quality in every component. The yogurt is creamy and mild (not overly sour), and the granola has a perfect crunch without being too hard. The fruit was incredibly fresh and sweet. I also really appreciated the service; I asked to swap the pineapple, and they kindly replaced it with fresh grapefruit. Definitely worth the price!

The grilled black tiger prawns salad i Was good. It would be even better if they remembered i wanted to have the dressing on side. The salad came with two pieces of bread, you need to ask for the butter if you need to. The black coffee was ok (lightly rosated aroma). I will come again and try their cakes (give me 2 years time to save more $$ :D)

This place is, for me, simply one of those places I always visit when I come to Cologne. I grew up close to the city, visited it often, and even while living abroad I still listen to WDR radio. I love that it was designed to reflect the 1950s style of the original Funkhaus interior. The menu offers a great variety, from small bites to typical German dishes. This time, I opted for the steak tartare made from Eifel beef.
