In town for the evening on our way back from Italy, and decided to check this place out. Very good food, service, and atmosphere at this friendly traditional German restaurant (deutsche Küche) in downtown Konstanz. I had the „kleiner Salat,“ Wiener Schnitzel, Spargel mit Hollandaise Sauce und Bratkartoffeln. My brother had the smoked salmon mit Käsespätzle. Highly recommend you check it out if you get a chance while in town.

Despite being a lunchtime and not having reserved a table, a lovely waitress found us a table for 2. Staff were very attentive and pleasant despite it being busy. Food was lovely and the portion size of the cake was definitely up my street 😋 Great experience. Loved it.

This is not the first time I’m here and have always been a delightful experience. This last time the have a new (what appears to be ) Sous Chef. And older waiter ordering all other waiters around in the most impolite way. Also with costumers. His loud impolite remarks to the colleagues as well as with the bartender made the athmosphere tense and unfriendly. If I come the next time, I will look first if he is not around before I go inside. Shame, food is good and the waiters in general are very nice.
