Last time I visited was in 1986. It was like going back in time (in a very good way) same very friendly greeting (by the new owner, the son) Inside very nicely laid out, with plenty of room, even managed to get my old regular table. The food was wonderful, had a very tasty, clear chicken soup for starters, the main cause had to be my old favourite Balkan Plate, this would be the big test, was not disappointed. Well cooked, nicely presented and plenty to eat. Really do hope it's not another 36 years before I visit again. 👍😎

A very nice restaurant. Warm welcome, large menu with a delicious selection of Croatian cuisine. Everything was prepared quickly and fresh. Large portions and very tasty. We were delighted. We were on our way home and thoroughly enjoyed this detour from the A2 (about 6km from the Herford East exit). We'd gladly come again.

Restaurant Croatia is a lovely and clean restaurant. The service is very friendly. The food was delicious and freshly prepared (so a short wait is easily acceptable). Two of the dishes had a little too much salt on the fries for our taste. The portions were plenty large for us. The food was beautifully presented. We were there on Sunday at lunchtime and luckily had reserved a table (almost all the tables were occupied shortly after opening). Even wheelchair users should be able to easily manage the one step at the entrance.

Delicious, the meat is cooked to perfection. Tender and juicy. The steaks are medium, but can certainly be prepared differently upon request. Please note, reservations are essential, as this restaurant is very popular and always busy.
