Ocakbasi 64 is a fantastic Turkish kebab restaurant in the heart of Braunschweig. The high Google rating encouraged us to try it, and it truly exceeded our expectations. We ordered the “Grillteller Ocakbasi” for two people, which cost 39 euros. The platter included a great variety of delicious grilled meat: Adana-style kebab, shishlik, mixed kebabs, and chicken kebab, all served with grilled vegetables, tomatoes, peppers, and fresh bread. Glad we found this restaurant for our short stay in Braunschweig. The meat selection from Grillteler Ocakbasi was well marinated and tender, the baklava was not too sweet, complemented with Turkish tea, and the service was impeccable but was only let down by not being able to pay using a foreign card. Overall, we enjoyed our Turkish dining experience.
