Wow! What a great restaurant and experience. Local and unpretentious, yet the food quality was incredible. Visited based on the recommendation of the Bar Steward at Le Méridien and this place did not disappoint. The local plate was incredible and cooked to perfection. Would make a trip to come back just for this.

Wonderful and perfectly cooked food. We felt at home right away and our experience was enhanced by the regional cuisine. The appetizer (smoked salmon wrapped in pancake with a salad with horseradish vinaigrette) was phenomenal. I had the local plate with the roast beef with the maultaschen and my wife had the Wiener schnitzel. We ate every bite. Make sure to save room for the fried apple dessert. If you are in Stuttgart, do not miss this gem of a restaurant.

Visiting Stuttgart for a few days and discovered there is Swabian cuisine here. Did some research and found Zum Becher offers Swabian food. Went to dinner last night, on a Saturday without a reservation and feared we would not be able to be seated. As suspected, the restaurant was booked for the evening.
