A lazy spring Saturday, sun out (the wind, less cooperative), we drifted in from the Spree flea market in search of a quiet break—and, inevitably, snacks. We stumbled upon Tischendorf: small, clean, and inviting. The menu is pleasingly concise—no overthinking required. Salmon sandwich with cream cheese, scrambled eggs with salmon on sourdough, and an omelette with spinach and feta did the job nicely. After living in the area for a while, I finally visited Tischendorf this morning and I loved it. Easily one of the best coffees around, and the food was great too! The sandwich I had was super tasty, and everything was really fresh. But the most important thing for me in a café is the energy you get from the staff, and they nailed it here! The barista was super welcoming and had a genuinely charming smile that somehow made the coffee even better. :) Definitely recommending this spot to anyone craving a great breakfast and a really good cappuccino!!

The food here is great, but the employees are very unfriendly. Every time I come I need to wait for about 5 minutes while someone at the front avoids eye contact and pretends I don’t exist to the best of their ability while rearranging cutlery or making drinks as slowly as possible. I feel like I’m inconveniencing them by existing and trying to spend money at their workplace.
