Josh and Moses are the best! Fantastic service - they recommended a few other bars to me too (I’ve been to one so far which was also great). Unique cocktails here showcase flavors from different Chinatowns across the globe. I did not think I liked baijiu, and after trying the rose and the fat-washed baijiu at Kinsman, my mind is fully changed.

Kinsman offers a beautifully designed space with cute, nostalgic interiors and great music that really set the mood. The atmosphere was excellent overall, though the air conditioning was far too strong — it felt freezing inside even though it was only 22C outside. We tried three drinks, and while they were all very good, they leaned quite sweet and weren’t especially complex. The real highlight for us was the prawn toast, which was outstanding and easily the best thing we ordered.

Finally checked out Kinsman after all the buzz, booked ahead and it was hassle-free – totally worth it. We enjoyed some drinks and bites, with the shrimp toast standing out for its amazing crispiness, and the cheesecake was special because it was infused with Moutai, paired nicely with sticky rice. The Miss Joaquim drink was fresh and unique, while Orh Nee 2.0 was super creamy like a boozy dessert. Big props to Husky, our waitress – she was so nice and friendly, chatting with us and introducing cool Chinese liquors we’d never tried, making the night extra fun. Vibe’s lively but chill, service solid with no attitude.

I had a great experience at Kinsman! I’m a huge sucker for cocktails with Asian flavors so I had a hard time deciding which drink to try. My only regret is that I didn’t try more. I ordered the mango sticky rice which was delicious. The rice wine brought out the sticky rice flavour and the mango and coconut came through as well. I also love how they have the nostalgic HK decor and were playing old HK tunes! I will be back!
