Cherry★★★★★Tucked away in one of Bandra’s small lanes, I randomly discovered Madras Diaries, and I’m so glad I did! The ambience has a warm, cozy South Indian vibe, and the air-conditioned seating made for a comfortable dining experience. We ordered the Tomato Onion Uttapam, and it’s an absolute must-try perfectly cooked with just the right amount of podi, making every bite delicious. The Benne Dosa was decent, but the real star was the Jain Sambhar Rice with Pappadum. It was incredibly flavourful, comforting, and truly finger-licking good. The biggest highlight, however, was the service. A special mention to Tapindra, who was warm, energetic, and extremely welcoming. His recommendations were spot on, and the service was quick and attentive throughout. Definitely coming back for the delicious food, wonderful hospitality, and cozy ambience. Highly recommended! 😊
Noor Sayeed Khan★★★★Madras Diaries in Bandra has such a gorgeous, welcoming vibe, it’s easily one of the prettiest spots for South Indian food in the city. The staff was genuinely sweet and the service was so smooth it made the whole experience feel really relaxed. We decided to try their new chaat menu, and the Shakkarkand Matar ki Chaat was a total winner, it felt super fresh and not at all oily. The Chatpata Singhada (water chestnut) was a fun surprise too, especially for that unique crunch you don't usually find in street food. The Madras Diaries Special Combo is a solid choice if you’re like me and can't decide the medu vada was perfectly crispy. But honestly, the real highlight was the Filter Coffee with those Rawa Biscuits. It’s such a nostalgic, comforting pairing. We finished with the Elaneer Payasum, which was light and refreshing, though I wish there was just a bit more of it! Definitely worth a visit if you’re in Bandra and want a meal that feels both clean and satisfying.
Allen Samuel★★★★★Madras Diaries is a perfect blend of authentic South Indian comfort and exciting new flavours! The highlight now is their chaat menu, which adds a fun, chatpata twist alongside their classic offerings. The Chatpata Singhada and Shakkarkand Matar Ki Chaat were vibrant, tangy, and full of flavour. The Chettinad Paneer with flaky wheat parotta was rich and satisfying, paired beautifully with the soft Kodumai (wheat) parotta. Refreshing sips like the Cold Coffee and Virgin Mojito balanced the meal, while the Elaneer Payasam was a light, delicious finish. The presentation of each dish was impressive and clearly made with attention to detail. Service was warm and prompt, making the overall experience even more enjoyable. With its warm décor and relaxed, inviting ambience, Madras Diaries is a must-visit for a wholesome meal with a unique chaat twist!
Hitesh Harisinghani★★★★Visited this place for lunch on a weekday. The ambience is lovely and the staff is friendly. We tried the Rasam Wada, which was delicious — the rasam was served hot and perfectly spicy! The idlis were soft, and the sambar was very tasty. Along with the regular coconut chutney, they also serve 4 different chutneys, all of which were really good. We also tried the Kara Masala Dosa, which tasted great. The three of us were completely full, and the bill came to around ₹1,000 for 5 dishes, which felt like great value for money.

The curd on the top of chaat was cold n fresh the chutneys on the top was soo yumm😍last but not the least tried their palak patta chaat was to die for Deep fried palak patta on top there was chutneys chopped onion tomatoes and some sev which makes chaat more yummylicious. We tried their mocktails with chaat Was kokum cooler 10/10. specially people who are stepping out in this hot summer should go for their kokum cooler and had fresh watermelon juice Then for maincourse we tried their kurma with malabari paratha The paratha was
Joyreet Das★★★★★Went to Madras Diaries in Bandra for a quick brunch but ended up trying quite a bit, especially with their new chaat stall. Started with the chaat. The pani puri with three flavoured waters (Kolkata, Mumbai, Delhi) was fun and well executed. 8/10. The aloo tikki chaat was also solid, nicely balanced and satisfying. 8/10. From the South Indian side, the butter masala dosa was crisp and buttery but fairly standard overall. 7/10. The ghee podi thatte idli was a standout. Soft, flavourful and packed with that podi kick. 9/10. The filter coffee was strong and on point. 9/10. The yelneer cooler missed the mark slightly, lacking that fresh coconut flavour you expect. 6/10. Ended with the yelneer payasam, which tasted great with a nice coconut profile, though slightly on the watery side. 8/10. Overall, a good brunch spot in Bandra with a mix of chaat and South Indian options. The thatte idli and filter coffee are definitely worth going back for.

Without wasting any time, we started with our favorite — Pani Puri 🤤 And bhai sahab… they served it with 3 different flavor waters — Mumbai style, Delhiwala & Kolkata style! We literally couldn’t stop eating 😅 Then came the Palak Patta Chaat… And bhai, ekdum Delhi ki yaad dila di ❤️ To beat the summer heat, we tried their Kokum Cooler & Mint Cooler — super refreshing and fresh! For mains, we ordered Mini Idlies served with 4 different chutneys… and trust me, this combo is something you’ll only get here, so make sure it’s on your order list ✔️ We also tried the Malabar Paratha with Chettinad Paneer — great quantity, rich flavors, and the
