I discovered this place a few days ago, and for me it was a hidden gem. The service is friendly. The dining hall is cosy but a little dim. The tables are not always perfectly clean, but this is not a major issue. Since the most important part of my experience when it comes to a coffee shop is the coffee itself, this place is definitely worth a visit. The Americano was very good — tasty and strong. In fact, it is the best black coffee anywhere from Dun Laoghaire Harbour to Carrickmines. The cinnamon roll and the chocolate cake were also good. Came in this morning for a breakfast Ladies were outside and the cafe was “closed” In front of me one would stand and silently flip the sign and get in. No hello, no anything. I went to the bar to order, had to ask for the food menu, as it wasn’t even offered to me. Accidentally tapped the wrong thing first with my phone — left a standard tip, which is no issue, but not even a thank you from the unhappy lady. The way she looked at me, the zero politeness is so questionable. Like I interrupted her peaceful morning and now got this attitude. I felt she couldn’t care less about anything. The

I was on a long distance walk when I felt hunger, and when gmaps shown me this place is nearby, I diverted a bit. Was worth it!!! Coffee perfect (oat milk flat white 1 shot, I’m demanding;) and eggs on salad was pure delight! Just what I needed, and suited to my dietary requirements. Music in the background was the best! Created lovely uplifting atmosphere. Design may seem a little industrial at first, but comfy cushions and delightful food totally make this place warm and welcoming. You can even buy here some lovely coastal pictures, and… rain jackets! Will come back when around the next time

Came for a Saturday brunch and it seems they must not have a chef at present. A lot of food was out of stock so there was very limited options. It's grand for basic muffin or toast. But food is not being prepared fresh, it's all pre made and reheated. Staff were nice and the place is calm and quiet, so it's good for coffee and chat over some cake, but wouldn't be coming here again for a breakfast or lunch meal.
