Lo que dice la gente

The kare-kare is just normal. Not really that much good but with shrimp paste/bagoong it tastes delicious. The staffs were really friendly and accommodating.
The service was excellent with very beautiful atmosphere and the food was extremely delicious .
A great place to experience phillipino food in Amman. Not intimidating at all and very affordable. Ask for recommendations and description of the dishes, some spices might not be to the Arab taste. Better see that you like the ingredients before ordering.

Visited September-October 2024: Shame on me for taking so long to finally write this review for such an amazing Filipino restaurant “Afani” in Jabal Amman! I actually stumbled upon this gem 💎 (Afani Reataurant) by accident while picking up food at a nearby Asian spot, Red Dragon. Lucky me! Shoutout to the wonderful owners—Mohammad (yay! half Arab, half Filipino), his awesome cousin Hatem, and Mohammad’s lovely Filipina mother (the secret behind that mouthwatering home cooking- Tita, I forgot your name po). When I first discovered them, they had only been open for about 4–5 months, so they didn’t pop up on my foodie radar right away. Since then, I’ve tried about 90% of the menu, and let me tell you—everything is spot on. Honestly, for the last 5 visits we just kept ordering the same dishes because they’ve become my fiancé’s absolute favorites in Jordan: Kare Kare, Bicol Express, Pancit Canton, Chicken Adobo, and Tortang Talong. The portions are just right—not skimpy, not overwhelmin

I visited this Filipino restaurant this afternoon during my stay in Amman. There are many Filipino restaurants on this street and this restaurant is located on the first floor from the corner. The place is clean and tidy. You will be welcomed with Mabuhay greetings in the entrance. They also hang some pictures about the Philippines. The staff speaks English. He is super nice. I ordered fried rice with shrimp. The portion is rich. The price is affordable, just 3.50 JOD.

I love the restaurant. It is so very clean, nicely presented, professional staff, welcoming owners, nostalgic photos of the Philippines. I had the Philippines Milkfish (called Bangus; prepared as fried fish). It was delicious! The rice was perfectly cooked, and yes, I'm an avid rice -eater! They also played my favorite Filipino songs. A bit tricky to find as google maps doesn't exactly do it well. Just look for a store called 'Pinoy Corner' and right next to it, you will find a small entrance leading up a set of stairs towards Afani. I will definitely be back again. Afani is a home away from home. A gem in Amman. :)

Afani Restaurant is a hidden gem for Filipino food lovers in Amman. Tucked above a supermarket on Za’edah Street, it greets you with a warm and a cozy atmosphere filled with nostalgic Filipino decor and music. The menu is full of authentic, home-style dishes—crispy fried rice with shrimp, savory noodles with chicken, flavorful spring rolls, curry, and perfectly cooked Milkfish (Bangus). Portions are generous, prices are very reasonable, and the flavors taste just like home.
