Really do love the spot. Their gluten free bread is a treat. But every time I’ve been here, truly had a poor experience with their service. Everyone is busy but no one is really tending to anything. Last visit had to wait 35 minutes for a simple toast and poached egg and only because of consistent following up. Waiters and waitresses need to be constantly flagged down. And if you’ve got the bad luck to be placed in a quiet corner? Good luck finding someone who remembers you. Honestly by the time the food gets to you, just the whole experience makes it completely unenjoyable. Wish I had a better review. But one thing that’s been consistent is the poor service.

I recently visited Harvest Restaurant to try their breakfast. I was informed that breakfast is served as a buffet, with drinks included. I asked the waitress if she could kindly serve me, but she explained that it’s self-service—which was perfectly fine. We then walked over to the buffet setup, and as I began serving myself, she leaned in and mentioned that breakfast costs KSh 3,200. I smiled and acknowledged it. When I later sat down and she came to take my drink order, I asked why she felt the need to mention the price at that moment. She explained that she didn’t want me to be surprised when the bill arrived. I appreciated her intention and the heads-up. However, I couldn’t help but think that someone else might have taken it differently. It might come across better if the price is mentioned upfront when explaining the buffet. That said, it’s a beautiful space—perfect for both solo dates and group breakfasts. I’ll definitely be back to try their lunch and dinner for a fuller expe
