So we visited Zarda on a Friday evening & had a wonderful time dining at this Swahili restaurant. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, with decor that beautifully reflected coastal culture. The food was flavorful and authentic especially the pilau and coconut based dishes, which were perfectly spiced and aromatic. The service was attentive and friendly, making the whole experience feel personal and welcoming. It’s a place I’d happily return to!

We were the first people in the restaurant waiting for almost 45 minutes and the waiter served a table of 6 people their food before us even though we ordered before they even sat down. We ordered beef pilau and beef biryani with passion fruit juice. Honestly the Beef Biryani was bad, rice wasn’t authentic only thing added was food color and maybe salt. The beef added was a mushy pile with VERY chewy and inedible pieces of “meat”(tendon). Pilau was decent with more edible pieces of meat. Passion fruit juice was cold and natural tasting. Tables and chairs looked great and new and design or restaurant was great. Very open, not crowded.
