A few days ago, I visited Bakker Bart in the morning to pick up some bread, but what I found there was downright shocking. It seemed as if hygiene was not on the agenda at all. On the counter stood a crate of fresh vegetables that had likely just been delivered. To my surprise, an employee took out a cucumber and started using it immediately—without washing it, and without washing her own hands either.
