Good food, friendly service and nice atmosphere for a lunch or informal dinner with friends. On a thursday evening when we had dinner it was not too crowded. Note that there is no parking spaces next to the restaurant so you need to find a street parking space or walk a few minutes from the nearest parking garage.

Both my brother and I had a very decent and tasty Croque Buikspek; a rustic grilled cheese sandwich with pork belly and a fried egg sunny side up on top, nicely finished with tarragon. Service wasn’t bad but not good either. Wrong drink served (corrected), ignoring finished plates for over 20 minutes and not attentive to empty glasses. However, the apparently very young and new host was kind and friendly. Our table in the periphery, next to the window (as requested) was situated in a unpleasant chilly draft, next to damp coats hanging a few inches too close behind me. The overall ambience was

Had the perfect breakfast! Very beautiful location and view. No English menu though, maybe Schiedam is not such a popular tourist hotspot. All in all I enjoyed it very much and recommend.
