I stopped at this small café inside the station at Zandijk Zaanse Schans before visiting the village, and it turned out to be a great choice. The place is cozy and simple, but very welcoming. The person who served us was kind, friendly, and even spoke good Italian, which made the experience even nicer. The highlight, though, was definitely the brownies, absolutely amazing, full of chocolate chunks. I liked them so much that I ended up buying two more to take away 🙂. I had them the next day, and they were even better. A perfect little stop before exploring the area, highly recommended.

Great coffee that worth missing the train for. Not matter when your train is set to go, I recommend stopping by and sipping the great doses of caffeine right in this coffee corner. I commend the quality of coffee extraction and the wide selection of coffee beans, so you are not going to be narrowed down with only one solo like many others will do. I’ll repeat my visit whenever passing by the station. Thanks to the great working team, and specially to the barista for his right recommendation.

What a nice surprise! I almost didn't go in but I did a double take when I saw the picture of the espresso machine... and indeed, he has a real machine not one of those button press automatic abominations. Good quality beans and properly steamed milk. Didn't expect such high quality at a train station. On top of this the owner was very outgoing and friendly, and a fellow skateboarder with great advice :) thanks again, see you next time!
