Exceptional place for brunch. Very homely atmosphere and hearty food. I highly recommend the French toast that has the right amount of fluff and not too sweet. Omelet was very good too and we really enjoyed the chef special pancake ( you may request on your next visit ). Chef Shanawaz also made an entrance and is very humble and welcoming. Id definitely be back. Amu is a great choice for hosting friends and family.

Went for brunch at Amu with the whole family on a friend’s recommendation and wow, we were impressed! The halloumi salad was a dream, the pancakes were perfect and the chef even came out so we could thank him personally. I’m originally from Germany and this was such a delicious surprise. As a UK visitor, this was average. The potatoes in all the dishes were far too salty, we had to get compensated with more food/tea which was not ideal considering we didn't need it. We didn't get served fast either, for 3 additional portions of strawberries we had to wait so long to be seen. The seating we were given was in the corner out of sight of the waiters, so how would they see anyone in a corner upstairs? Very poor design. The eggs royal scrambled egg was nice, so was the omelette and french toast. Tea was okay, Ahmed tea, I prefer Yorkshire tea from the UK but this was just okay. To top it off, there was a rat trap in the stairs of the venue. Not the most attractive sight. Overall, I would not recommend this, you can go to better places for more value for money.

Service was incredibly slow. Waiters did not seem like they wanted to take out order even. Took 10 minutes to bring us the menus. This is really disappointing because they got the hard part down. The food was exceptional. Loved everything we ordered and was different from your standard eatery experience in Lahore which is the same 5 dishes in rotation. The setting is very cozy and nice too. Just a shame about the service, which stops it from being one of the best restaurants in Lahore.
