Unfortunately the food was very bad. The ingredients were old, not fresh anymore. The waitress didn't know the english and it was very difficult to explain her. In the same time the menu doesn't have all pictures to help us for waitress guidance. In the end I saw at the reception that one of person of staff, he introduced his finger in the glass where prepared the juice for one client. The smell of the bathroom was also bad inside. So more attention of the hygiene and cleaning.

To be honest the place looked a bit like a tourist trap (menu in English, huge with the dishes), but the prices looked very fair so I went in. Thank God I did. I had the feijoada de leitão (suckling pig and bean stew) and it was SO GOOD. The portion was massive, it even came with a portion of white rice as side dish. The taste was flawless, and it was only 13.50 EUR. Other things on the menu looked amazing too (I believe the bifanas must be great, and they’re super cheap as well). It’s a shame I’m not here longer to try other things, but for sure this spot is a must while visiting Aveiro.

It was the best bacalhau au bras I have ever eaten in Portugal, including different cities! The staff were very kind and hardworking. The food was very delicious and the atmosphere was authentic. I also ordered their white wine next to my dish, it was good as well. The prices are definitely fair and reasonable, if you’re planning to have a lunch in Aveiro, it’s definitely the place. Bonus, it was still open after 2 pm on Saturday. Thanks to the hardworking staff!
