This really should be 5 stars, as we had a very nice meal here. The tempura bacalao was delicious, with crunchy batter and surprisingly satisfying. However, one piece had three large bones. The patatas bravas were also tasty and a generous portion. The octopus was also well prepared, with an interesting emulsion/sauce and, like the other dishes, prepared with fresh, good-quality ingredients. The reason I can't give it five stars is the dismissive "take it or leave it" attitude of the waiter who greeted us at the door. the place was very chic. i do not eat meat or fish. unfortunately the people there could not speak english (and i cannot speak spanish). they had an english menu, but it was difficult to understand which dish does not have meat/ fish. a guest volunteered to help and order for me a sizzler made of vegetables. it was ok.

I was pleasantly surprised by the exceptional quality of food and unique menue here. It ranks amongst some of the best I've been to evennin Madrid. The staff are very friendly and it's definitely value for price. Recommended to go a tad early as the place tends to be full all the time. Will definitely return.
