Ca Jaume is a typical bar that still serves many of Alcoy's traditional tapas, such as the Abyssinians and the Garibaldians. Friendly food, good service, and cold beer—everything you need for a snack and to enjoy good company. The terrace is lovely in the late afternoon/evening during the summer. If you want to sit outside and stay cool, you should call to reserve.

It was my first time there for work. I asked for a menu to look at the tapas and prices, and they told me they didn't have one, that they would just tell me what they had to nibble on. You feel uncomfortable having dinner because you don't know what they're going to charge you. The tapas were basic but tasty, especially the blood sausage and the meatballs. Plus two beers, you ask for the bill and they tell you the total at the table. Without a receipt, I paid €15.
