Amazing Italian restaurant in the heart of Bilbao. The food was sublime. The waiters were nice and friendly. The restaurant was constantly full and walk-ins were turned away, so booking is a must - I think we booked three days in advance. The only minor criticisms we have were that they didn’t have any prosecco to accompany the food (a must for an Italian restaurant and we personally wouldn’t mind paying a premium for it) and that it was very hot indoors - so much so that as nice as the food was, we were sweating so we couldn’t fully enjoy it and couldn’t really wait to get back outside.

Tonight was my first time to dine at San Telmo Pastificio. Me and my date had the Burrata for the starters and then Ragu de Jabali and Pesto for pasta. The food was great! The ambience is perfect for dates. It's cozy, they have great lighting and the background music was at the right volume so you won't have any problems talking with your date, family or friends. The servers were very nice and accompdating. It's a small place so you better book in advance. I booked our table 5 days in advance.

We were pleasantly surprised by this place. We had a reservation and the place was fully booked. The buratta with dried tomatoes was delicious, one of the best we have ever had. The tomatoes tasted fresh even when dried. 😃 the pesto injected in the buratta was just a bonus! The filled pasta with mozarella and jamon was absolutely amazing. Carbonara was very good, had a lot of pepper though. We had a better one in Italy but this was probably the second best. Overall, we loved the place.
