A Culinary Gem in Cáceres – Truly International Standards! Madruelo Restaurante is easily the best dining experience in Cáceres and a stand out among those restaurants we have encountered globally. The vibrant flavors are matched only by the stunning presentation and the warm, efficient service. On our first night, we enjoyed the prix fixe menu, which is an incredible value. The Retinto beef carpaccio with foie gras was a revelation, followed by perfectly executed cod in porcini sauce, a succulent Iberian pork tenderloin with old-fashioned mustard, and a chocolate cake with chocolate sauce.

Anna and Francisco run this magnificent restaurante in Caceres. It is absolutely worth visiting and definitely the finest meals we have had during our tour of mid east of Spain. Everything we tried was so special and showcased the flvours and artistry you expect for fine dining. In particular we salute the fried octopus such a fine dish. Mixed vegetables were splendid and my wife ate different recipes of bacalao on two nights both top class. We were driving from Lisbon to Madrid and happened upon this place- it was SPECTACULAR!! They went out of their way to accommodate us, I am a pescatarian and the other 3 people were meat eaters. Wow! Totally blew our socks off delicious! He made sauces that exploded with flavor on fresh meats and fish and then he put together the very best vegetarian zucchini, tomato, paprika, cheese heavenly thing- I can’t express how great it was!! The meat eaters were equally happy!! And yes the wine and dessert were also enjoyed! Then we also tried a local liquor that was new to us called bellota (acorn)
