A++ Absolutely Charming Confitería — A Step Back in Time Stopped in this morning and completely fell in love with this place. The confitería feels like stepping back into an earlier, sweeter era — spotless counters, beautiful displays, and that calm, old-school bakery vibe you just don’t find anymore. We loved the retro look of the cafe and the two women at the front pastry counter were very pleasant. The pastries we selected were pretty, but lacked pronounced flavor. The coffees were good. The biggest issue was that we were never presented a bill and when I paid at the counter, the prices were inflated by a good bit. On top of that, the waiter converted the bill into USD without asking which cost us another 20%. The men of this cafe need a lesson in customer service!!

Wonderful place! Pastries are delicious. Wish I could marry the coconut ones! There's a wide selection of treats and cakes. Staff is friendly and attentive. Interior will make you travel in time and so the politeness of everybody in there. Only place that doesn't close at lunch time which is great! Highly recommended.

Called in here for breakfast whilst visiting Cuenca. It's been going for 70 years! The breakfast was great, with really efficient and polite service. Good coffee and really fresh, home made produce. Really excellent. The men serving wear white shirts and black bow ties, and the selection of cakes and pastries made on the premises are mouth watering. Traditional and delightful.
