If you’re wondering where to eat at while in Cuenca, this restaurant won’t let you down. A short menu showcasing good appetisers and mains from the local cuisine, cook to perfection. If you are not the adventurer, the hamburger is also very good! The wine list is extensive enough to let you find a good Spanish wine to your taste! Service is prompt, efficient and very cordial.

Spanish fast food. Food is at the table in 5 minutes. Which is bad. This is not a fast food chain. This restaurant was in the Michelin list years ago. So it must be good right? Not for us. Our croquetas ibéricas were hot outside, cold inside. The bread was old and hard. Huevos rotos patatas were cold while the egg and chorizo were hot. Food flavor was OK but it shouldn’t be like that. It felt like a tourist trap but no one inside was a tourist.

I don’t leave many reviews but this experience stood out! First, thanks to Rosa Maria and especially Javier. The service was 4 times better than any place in my 3 week adventure in south east Spain , it really does make a difference. Secondly, I hesitated a bit to dine in a fancy restaurant as I am a bit more simple, I usually go for a couple of tapas and a couple of drinks, but honestly I felt very welcomed, and the tab for an incredible meal of milk fed roasted lamb quarter fire grilled with potatoes and peppers was way above the average meal and barely cost more than tapas and beer at a loc
