This is a charming cute cafe with lovely food, nice ambience, good value for money & a very friendly host. The potato leek cold soup and quinoa salad is amazing, and the fish pie was simply delish. To pair that with sangria / tinto de verano tops it all.

Pristine service from Fernando, followed by the best lentil soup I’ve had in my life! The most unique thing here is the revolving menu on a daily basis. This component made me feel like I was 8 years old again at my Abuela’s house. Everything we ordered was simply majestic and this is a place that deserves much more accolades.

We went to Matilda after reading the reviews and will say that this place does surprise you . The food quality , taste and preparation is top class. We managed to get a table as we went in early but I can tell you that it is frequented by locals and tourists alike . We had avocado toast and a Spanish omelette and both were top class. Will definitely recommend to people visiting that area.

My husband and I popped in here for an early breakfast on a Friday in late March. We had been visiting a nearby church and Matilda was open with good reviews. I ordered my usual pan con tomate and tortilla. My husband ordered a breakfast sandwich and we both had orange juice. Simple and delicious! Service was prompt and nice in a very homey setting filled with postcards of past diners. Our total was US $23.81
