We are a couple touring Spain in our campervan. We have been enjoying the Spanish food but fancied a change. We love Thai food and have travelled in Thailand. Restaurant Sawadi was a lovely surprise. The food is Thai authentic and very well balanced in flavour. It helps that the owners wife is Thai. Atmosphere and service was very good. Cost was very reasonable. I would definitely eat here again. This is so far the best Thailand's food, I've ever eat in Spain. Located in Merida area, Sawadi belong to a Spanish who married with Thai lady (that also a chef). I love their Chicken Curry Rice so much, other foods also Delicious, including the dumpling gyoza. Nice portion, delicious food, very good services, and also fairly price. They also have another restaurant near to Lisbon, named Bangkok Kitchen.

Great experience all over again. A few years ago I found this couple’s restaurant in Vietnam. The food was amazing and worthy of keep coming back. Fast forward 4 years and although in a different country the food has not changed and neither has the service. Fresh, handmade, original Thai food that burst with flavour and served in a relax, detailed orientated but friendly manner. If you enjoy the Far East cuisine I will recommend to come here. It will not disappoint. I will definitely be seen more of them.
