The food at this restaurant is great! As a starter I ordered the burata and my girlfriend the steak tartare. Both dishes tasted great! Later we ordered our main dish: iberico and a steak which also were great. So far so good. The downside of this restaurant is the ambiance and the service. I felt like I was in a business transaction no emotion and all the questions of the employee were focused on upselling and within one hour we where already outside of the restaurant everything was quick and in a hurry. La Bodega is a fantastic restaurant right in the heart of Palma de Mallorca, just a short walk from Plaça Major. Stellar food! We walked in on a Sunday night without reservations at around 8:30 pm. They did not have anything available but accommodated us before their next reservation was to come in. Our Asian origin server was a little brusque, but gave us solid recommendations. The bread is amazing but they charge for it and the aioli (euro 9 total). The food was really good. Fresh seafood perfectly prepared. The atmosphere was cozy and upscale. Service missed the mark.Nothing bad to say but maybe because it’s such a popular spot, the service was attentive but not personalized. I think the price was reasonable for the quality of food. It was definitely on the slightly more expensive side.
