They recently reopened after a lengthy renovation. It's a typical neighborhood bar where you know the owner, the cook, and the staff. But the staff still lack a bit of experience serving Madrid locals: we like appetizers here, and we shouldn't have to keep asking, "Can I have an appetizer?" That should come naturally to them.

Great! The staff were very quick and friendly, and we had a delicious breakfast. The atmosphere was lovely. There were about five of us, and we were served very quickly.

Bad experience. From the outside, it didn't look bad, a set menu at a normal price; there are much cheaper options in the area. A young woman showed us to a table but took ages to return. We asked her several times if she could take our order, and she told us to keep waiting. There were only two tables occupied, and at one of them, people were having dessert. When she finally arrived, we were freezing. Even though the air conditioning unit was set to 30 degrees Celsius and was right in front of us, it didn't provide any warmth.
