We came to Basel and we were searching cafe with tasty coffee. We found this café through positive reviews in the internet, and it truly lived up to our expectations. The atmosphere was very pleasant, and the owner was exceptionally friendly and welcoming. It was the most delicious Basque cheesecake I've ever had! The coffee and desserts were delicious. I highly recommend this café to others.

Dan's Lab definitely falls within my top 3 Specialty Coffee shops in Basel! The barista I interacted with, Clément, is extremely knowledgable, and is infact roasting some of the special beans himself. He has some of the funkiest co-ferments on offer, such as strawberry and watermelon ferments (would highly recommend to ask about them and try them out)! The espressos are brewed to perfection, and the flat whites made with co-fermented beans were exceptionally flavorful. I would definitely recommend a cookie to go with any coffee beverage too! We stopped by Dan’s LAB Coffee on a sunny afternoon and immediately liked the easy, welcoming feel of the place. There is seating both inside and outside, which makes it a great spot to either soak up some sun or settle in for a quieter break indoors.
