Visited Seebistro LUZ in Lucerne and had a delicious soft-serve ice cream while sitting by the lake. The ice cream was creamy, not too sweet, and perfect for a sunny afternoon. The view of Lake Lucerne and the surrounding mountains created a peaceful, relaxing moment — one of those simple joys that make traveling special. The staff were kind and welcoming, and the lakeside setting couldn’t be more beautiful. Highly recommend stopping here for a quiet, scenic break in Lucerne.

The cafe is by the lake right by the train station. They have a street looking patio and an ice cream counter, a dining room with glass walls overlooking the lake and a balcony/patio just by tge lake with a mix of picnic tables and tables for 4. The balcony is, obviously very popular. They have various sausages at SF9 (which is very reasonable) and beer in bottles @SF4.50. Very relaxed service with postcard view.

Luz used to be a nice place with friendly staff, great service and good food and drinks. Not anymore… Four people on duty, 5 tables occupied. Slow service, mediocre quality food, half the menu was not available. Friendliness was about what a supermarket cashier would show; also staff was more occupied with joking among each other than caring for patrons. For 2 tartes flambées and 3 glasses of wine we paid CHF 73.-, which is overpriced. Doubting if we will return.
