I wrote a bad review a few months ago after using this chip shop for years, the special I had the fish and battered sausage was terrible, we couldn’t eat it. I said I would never return, but my wife convinced me to return after talking to the manager one lunchtime. Tonight myself and my son returned to have our usual the battered sausage/mini fish special and we both really enjoyed it, fish and sausage was delicious, back to the standard we used to love.👍

Ordered a mini fish special. I was pleasantly surprised by the additional sausage and a pot of peas, gravy or curry sauce. Fish was of good quality, batter was a bit soggy n chips tasted a little stale. Overall was good value for money, but I think I caught them at the end of the day and the quality wasn't quite up to their usual high standards. Will try again and update if necessary. Staff were friendly and helpful and food well presented.

Thank you for excellent service for our evening. 113 portions served piping hot with loads of peas and curry sauce. Everyone enjoyed the food, esp the large portions. Brilliant.

This is a pleasant local chippy which the staff appeared to have a good relationship with regulars. The menu is very extensive. An order of a large haddock and chips produced a medium size haddock in a very soggy batter and large quality of chips of average quality but again a little bit on the soggy side. Given the past reviews being fairly positive, it was a bit of a disappointment as I had selected the chippy on the basis of past reviews. All it was edible but not the best that I’ve had and given that I have experienced some excellent fish and chip shops. ( award winners ) This was a disap
