Finally managed to try the indulgent Acharuli Khachapuri speciality at Samaia, a Georgian restaurant on Castelnau in Barnes, and WOW, what a treat! Made to order, it is served hot, sinful and delicious - gooey, cheesy comfort food at its finest. Freshly baked bread, shaped like a boat and filled with molten cheese, butter and a perfectly runny egg yolk in the middle, is rich, indulgent and absolutely worth it - and mixing all the ingredients together at the table was strangely satisfying. This is the best restaurant in the neighborhood, and my favorite Georgian spot in London! The food is incredible and the vibes are fun yet cozy. Every dish we had was amazing, though the chicken Mstvadi were my favorite. The staff was also so lovely! I can’t wait to visit again soon!

Amazing food, best Georgian cuisine in London. The staff are so lovely and friendly. The atmosphere is very cosy. The food is delicious with generous portions and home style Georgian cooking made with heart and soul! Highly recommend this restaurant. Must try Georgian cheese bread, khinkali (dumplings with vegetarian and meat filling options) the famous Georgian Tarxun (Tarragon) lemonade and honey cake amongst other delicious dishes ( these are just personal favourites). And they serve the best selection of semi sweet Georgian wine as well which is a rare find in London.

We had a really excellent experience at Samaia and would absolutely recommend it. The food was the standout. The quality of the ingredients was noticeably high, which can actually be quite hard to find in London. Everything felt fresh, well-prepared, and thoughtfully done.
