The first time I went here, a few years ago, all the tables were full and the food was great. Now - not just empty tables, but empty rooms - and this is Saturday evenings. When I sat at a table for an hour before being told I had to order food at the Bar :( - at which point I walked out and grabbed a Meal-Deal from Tesco. Total waste of Money (meals had been paid for 3 months in advance) Given how they were concentrating on serving drinks rather than food, perhaps they should rename this place "BAR BAR" ? Never eating here again.

I ordered a takeaway (curry, rice, naan, poppadoms and mango chutney). What they did was put it all into 1 pizza box (there was no typo there, all of it went into 1 pizza box). Anyone having this meal would find it quite humiliating. I’ll let the image speak for itself. I didn’t eat in so I can’t comment on the atmosphere, so I’ve just defaulted a 5.

We went as a early birthday treat for my partner and me and my partners food was prepared wrong. My partner ordered a mix grill with a steak what was supposed to be well done and it turned up medium rare so we told the that it was cooked wrong and they took the steak back in to the kitchen and recooked the same steak. even though they said they were going to cook a fresh one. An I had a smothered platter and my gammon was medium rare even though gammon isn't supposed to be an bacon was half cooked to. All they did in the end is give my partner a free meal. All soul was lost this night, staff okay, put everyone down the end, no conversation, no buzz. Walked outside for a vape, flies swimming in mayonnaise, littered outside area of a lunchtime before us. It's never a staff problem, it's a management problem, I've seen this so many times over my 30 working years, of these duel pub/hotel setup's. Try harder please. The radio playing local station is not how it should be for a chain. Let's try a better treatment of staff, happy staff, is happy customers,take that to your annual conference. So disappointed ☹️
